Preparing for the “Right of the Boom”
Consider this: every data storage device will eventually fail. Are you prepared for when yours does? We provide backup solutions, prioritizing data redundancy and consistent uptime to safeguard your valuable information.
Your invaluable business data needs a robust backup and disaster plan. We are here to assist in designing, developing, and rigorously testing backup and recovery strategies that include automatic, offsite data backups to a secure data center. Our experienced technicians are well-versed in data restoration, especially in critical situations like ransomware attacks.
Our approach adheres to the 3-2-1 Backup Rule:
- Maintain at Least Three Copies of Your Data: Your original data is the first copy. Ensure you have at least two additional backups, regularly updated, to safeguard your information.
- Use Two Different Storage Types: Diversify your backup storage. For instance, use an external hard drive connected to your file server and a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. This approach mitigates risks like ransomware, which may infect your server and access connected drives but will struggle to compromise a well-configured NAS.
- Keep One Backup Offsite: To further secure your data, one of the three backups should be stored offsite. Alternating between external hard drives, with one always kept offsite, is a reliable method. Alternatively, online backup services offer convenient solutions by automatically securing your critical files over the Internet, simplifying the backup management process.
